Affiliate Marketing
An affiliate programme is a distribution channel with commercial terms attached. It rewards careful partner selection and consistent oversight, and it degrades quickly without either.

The problem this work solves.
Programmes are often measured by how many partners have signed up. That number says almost nothing. A programme with forty active publishers sending qualified traffic is worth more than one with four hundred names on a list.
The harder questions are commercial. Which partners bring customers the business would not have reached anyway, what is each partner category actually worth, and where is the programme paying commission on demand it already owned.
How ProData works on it.
Programme work is mostly steady oversight rather than launches. This is the shape of it.
Partner acquisition
Recruitment aimed at publishers whose audience matches the product, rather than volume for its own sake. Fewer conversations, better fit.
Commercial models
Revenue share, cost per acquisition, hybrid or tenancy, chosen against how the product actually earns. The model shapes partner behaviour more than any brief will.
Traffic quality
Partners are read on what happens after the click. Approval rates, repeat purchase, refunds and downstream value, not just conversion counts.
Tracking integrity
Attribution rules written down and applied consistently, so partners understand what they are paid for and the business knows what it is buying.
Programme optimisation
Terms adjusted by partner tier and by performance over time. Strong partners get more room. Weak placements get corrected or ended.
Fraud and compliance awareness
Monitoring for the familiar patterns: forced clicks, cookie stuffing, brand bidding against agreed terms, and traffic that converts in ways real customers do not.
What the work covers.
Some of this is negotiation and some of it is arithmetic. Both matter. Scope is agreed per engagement, and not every item applies to every client.
- Programme structure and terms
- Publisher research and recruitment
- Commission models and payout tiers
- Creative and landing page supply for partners
- Tracking setup and validation
- Partner communication and briefing
- Placement and tenancy negotiation
- Traffic quality review
- Fraud pattern monitoring
- Incrementality assessment
How measurement is handled.
The central question in affiliate is incrementality. Some partners create demand, others intercept demand that was already on its way to a purchase. Both appear in the same report and they are not worth the same.
We separate them where the data allows, and we say so plainly where it does not.
- Partner performance read at customer level, not click level
- Commission reviewed against contribution by partner tier
- Coupon and loyalty traffic examined for incremental value
- Validation and reversal rates tracked over time
- Programme cost compared with other acquisition channels
